“FISHMAN-R” is an analyzer which enables Flow Cytometry on a microfluidics chip.
It can detect and analyze specific bacteria and cells with Flow-FISH method.
Its greatest characteristic is introduction of disposable plastic chips manufactured with a micro-channel precision technology. Exchange of chips makes it unnecessary to wash flow cells and do not need to consider carry-over anymore.

Building all fluidics systems on a Micro-fluidics chip
makes it unnecessary to build flow systems including sheath tank and waste tank.
Thus FISHMAN-R becomes quite compact. You can install it in a safety cabinet.

①The chip has a channel for the flow that contains cells and two sheath flow channels in both sides.
②Three channels get together in the center of the chip and the flow containing the sample is pressed from both sides and gets narrow.
③The cells move on a single line one by one.
④The cells are illuminated with laser and emit scattered light and fluorescence.
⑤FISHMAN-R detects forward scatter (FS), scattered light in the direction of the laser. Magnitude of FS
reflects the size of the cells.
⑥The fluorescence separated with optical filters and spectrums are detected.
