FISHMAN-R

“FISHMAN-R” is an analyzer which enables Flow Cytometry on a microfluidics chip.
It can detect and analyze specific bacteria and cells with Flow-FISH method.
Its greatest characteristic is introduction of disposable plastic chips manufactured with a micro-channel precision technology. Exchange of chips makes it unnecessary to wash flow cells and do not need to consider carry-over anymore.
There is no need for any dedicated operator.
All you have to do is to set the Micro-fluidics chip. Exchanging the Micro-fluidics chips makes sample-carryover free and contamination free.
FISHMAN-R detects particles size from 0.5μm to 20μm.
FISHMAN-R can analyze as small quantity of samples as from 10μl to 100μl.
Sample liquid is not diluted with a sheath flow after the analysis.
You can use it for the next experiment after the analysis.
FISHMAN-R can detect 3,000 particles per second.
It is optimized for detection with fluorescent probes such as Flow-FISH method.
Building all fluidics systems on a Micro-fluidics chip makes it unnecessary to build flow systems including sheath tank and waste tank.
Thus FISHMAN-R becomes quite compact. You can install it in a safety cabinet.


@The chip has a channel for the flow that contains cells and two sheath flow channels in both sides.
AThree channels get together in the center of the chip and the flow containing the sample is pressed from both sides and gets narrow.
BThe cells move on a single line one by one.
CThe cells are illuminated with laser and emit scattered light and fluorescence.
DFISHMAN-R detects forward scatter (FS), scattered light in the direction of the laser. Magnitude of FS reflects the size of the cells.
EThe fluorescence separated with optical filters and spectrums are detected.
